Security Architecture Development:
Design and execute security architecture strategies to safeguard IT environments and sensitive information.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Oversight:
Spearhead compliance initiatives aligned with standards such as NIST SP800-53, HIPAA, and FERPA. Provide expert insights on risk evaluation and mitigation.
Technology Implementation:
Leverage your knowledge in virtualization, containerization (Docker), cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), and encryption technologies to bolster security frameworks.
Incident Management & Recovery Planning:
Manage disaster recovery and business continuity strategies, ensuring systems are resilient and can swiftly recover from security breaches.
Collaboration & Project Leadership:
Partner with cross-functional teams to advance security initiatives and contribute to daily operational tasks. Lead various cybersecurity projects and programs.
Audit & Control Assessment:
Review audit responses, identify risk factors, and ensure thorough control assessments. Apply knowledge of secure application development and software lifecycle practices.
Effective Communication:
Clearly convey complex security concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 5 years in cybersecurity with a proven history in security architecture and compliance.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related discipline preferred. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA) are a plus.
Technical Proficiencies:
Comprehensive understanding of IT systems, including virtualization, containerization, cloud computing, and encryption.
Proficient in managing Windows and Linux server environments.
Strong knowledge of identity and access management, disaster recovery, and business continuity practices.
Compliance Knowledge:
Extensive familiarity with relevant regulations and frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, FERPA).
Analytical Skills:
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Communication Skills:
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information effectively.
Desired Experience:
Experience with Criminal Justice Information Systems and a background in leading cybersecurity projects.
