Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Spiritual Care Professional to join our team on a per diem basis. This role involves providing spiritual support to patients and their caregivers, while also developing and maintaining relationships with local clergy and community leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Spiritual Support: Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their caregivers, including prayer, counseling, and bereavement support.
  • Community Outreach: Develop and maintain relationships with local clergy and community leaders to ensure that our patients receive comprehensive support.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately document patient interactions, progress notes, and other relevant information in our electronic medical record system.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure that patients receive holistic care and support.

Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in religion, human services, theology, philosophy, or a related field.
  • Certifications/Credentials: Ordained minister or equivalent certification.
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospice or palliative care setting.
  • Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong organizational and time management skills.

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
