Key Responsibilities
  • Capacity Planning and Management: Develop and implement strategies to improve our capacity planning and management systems, ensuring that our order fulfillment processes are operating within corporate guidelines.
  • Inventory Management: Coordinate and manage short- and medium-term inventory management, evaluating demand within the company and modifying sourcing guidelines for distribution centers to balance capacity and inventory.
  • Seasonal Capacity and Inventory Planning: Coordinate seasonal capacity and inventory planning to ensure that our operations are aligned with business needs.
  • Problem-Solving and Analysis: Identify and implement creative solutions to complex inventory and planning system problems, creating methods to best utilize material resources and reduce obsolete inventory.
  • Supply Chain Optimization: Identify supply solutions to meet demand inputs, ensuring the highest level of customer service at the lowest possible cost.
  • Market Research and Analysis: Study market trends and systems technology related to the job, researching and recommending improvements.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with Forecast Analyst and various manufacturing groups to ensure alignment of inventory and SKU re-order points with regional and global demand trends.
  • Supply Chain Strategy and Policy: Provide input and recommendations in improving supply chain strategies, policies, and practices to achieve Best in Class Supply Chain Service.
  • Inventory Management and Control: Work with Forecast Analyst to monitor forecast accuracy and adjust inventory targets, if necessary.
  • Inventory Ramp-Ups and Depletion: Develop and implement inventory ramp-ups, new product and promotional launches, and inventory depletion plans for obsolete and discontinued products.
  • ERP System Management: Develop, maintain, and continually improve inventory and service parameters and settings in appropriate ERP systems for all SKUs and Product Families.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent. Relevant professional certification desired.
  • Experience: Five years of progressive experience with inventory, planning, purchasing, or logistics management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, good problem-solving and negotiation skills, and proficiency with tools/equipment related to the job.
  • Additional Requirements: Experience in implementing Centralized Planning Processes across multi-sites.
