Lead Site Specialist

As a key member of the Thermo Fisher Scientific team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our laboratory operations. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Site Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Direct the daily workflow for a small team under the direction of the site lead and/or supervisor.
- Oversee service offerings, including order/stockroom/dock management, procurement, material handling, chemical tracking, glass wash, media/reagent preparation, and cell culture support operations.
- Effectively lead a diverse cross-functional team of on-site lab specialists, responsible for complete employee lifecycle management, including new hire selection, training needs identification, development training coordination, and employee performance evaluations.
- Deliver on committed contractual scope of work and assist with supervising business metrics.
- Act as liaison between customer and Thermo Fisher Scientific, coordinating onsite vendor escorting and customer visits as the site subject-matter expert, and identifying savings and opportunities.
- Implement SOPs, conduct site audits, and assist with completion of annual physical inventory.
- Drive process improvement culture by supporting Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives.
- Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locations, professionally and positively.
- Be involved with and support safety programs, including hazard identification, conduct inspections, and incident reporting/investigations as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree in a related field preferred, or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills.
- 3+ years of progressive, proven experience required.
- Experience working in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment and International Air Transport Association (IATA)/ U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Hazardous Goods certification required.
- Knowledge of OSHA General Industry requirements is also a plus.
