Aerial Construction Specialist

Mediacom Communications Corporation is seeking a skilled Aerial Construction Specialist to join our team. As an Aerial Construction Specialist, you will be responsible for performing aerial construction and coax splicing in accordance with NESC, NEC codes and safety regulations, Mediacom specification, policies and procedures, good workmanship; utility, federal, state and local codes.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform aerial construction and coax splicing in accordance with NESC, NEC codes and safety regulations, Mediacom specification, policies and procedures, good workmanship; utility, federal, state and local codes.
- Install all cables in compliance with Mediacom Specification and all applicable codes and or regulations.
- Climb utility poles using gaffs to place cables on pole per system design and spec.
- Maintain a safe, clean work environment.
- Maintain and handle all tools, equipment and assets safely and responsibly.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, trade school training preferred.
- Valid Driver's license; satisfactory driving record.
- Ability to pass a DOT Physical.
- General level of mechanical device knowledge to include hand tools and basic equipment operation.
- Ability to work flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime as required.
- Ability to travel and stay out of town when required.
- Ability to interact with customers and co-workers; ability to communicate verbally.
