Position Summary:
  • In the role of Senior Engineering Leader, you will act as a key authority in various product segments, including butterfly valves, ball valves, knife gate valves, water control gates, and water control valves.
  • Oversee intricate projects, juggle multiple tasks concurrently, and mentor team members as an integral part of the leadership framework.
  • Facilitate collaboration across departments, external partners, and divisions to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Evaluate personnel and vendor performance, providing insights for ongoing enhancements.
  • Independently resolve complex technical issues and offer guidance to junior engineers, serving as a reliable mentor.
  • Refine system tools to optimize reporting efficiency and streamline workflows, promoting operational excellence.
  • Conduct training sessions and consultations to elevate the expertise of less experienced team members.
  • Adapt to evolving requirements by taking on additional responsibilities, demonstrating versatility and responsiveness.
Essential Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to achieve goals through influential strategies.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of essential tools for engineering roles, including MRP systems, 2D and 3D modeling, and Statistical Analysis.
  • Expertise in Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and substantial experience with 3D CAD software and PLM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with colleagues, clients, and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes, quality assurance standards, technical specifications, and project management methodologies.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.
Educational Background:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • A minimum of 20 years of experience in a relevant technical field or outstanding performance with over 10 years of specific experience within the organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of butterfly valves, ball valves, knife gate valves, water control gates, and water control valves.
  • Consideration for Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Advanced comprehension of AWWA valve specifications.
Preferred Attributes:
  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to maintain a stationary or standing position for extended durations with occasional movement.
  • Capability for precise manipulation using wrists, hands, and fingers.
  • Readiness to utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary, ensuring safety in industrial settings.
  • Effective communication with others in various formats, whether in-person, via phone, or computer-based.
  • Occasional lifting, carrying, or moving of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Intermittent reaching overhead or at shoulder level and occasional stooping, crouching, or kneeling.
