This position presents a unique opportunity to delve into intricate legal issues pertaining to labor and employment law, particularly emphasizing accessibility and disability accommodation regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Exhibit a profound interest in laws and regulations surrounding accessibility and disability accommodations, including but not limited to Titles I, II, and III of the ADA, the Rehabilitation Act, and relevant state and local statutes.
Possess a solid background in Title III of the ADA and experience in accessibility auditing and management for both physical locations and digital platforms.
Offer comprehensive support in employment litigation, demonstrating knowledge of both federal and state employment regulations.
Oversee various litigation tasks such as interviewing witnesses, reviewing electronically stored information, drafting legal documents including pleadings and motions, conducting and defending depositions, liaising with clients and opposing counsel, and representing the firm in court proceedings.
Minimum of three years of dedicated experience in labor and employment law.
Juris Doctorate from an accredited law institution.
Mandatory admission to practice law in New York, covering both state and federal courts.
Strong academic background coupled with exceptional communication and writing capabilities.
Proven experience in accessibility and disability accommodation laws, particularly Title III of the ADA.
Familiarity with public accommodation accessibility challenges for both physical and digital entities.
Experience in accessibility auditing and/or managing external auditors is advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits:
The anticipated salary range for this role is between $205,000 and $290,000. Salary offers will be determined based on various factors including skills, training, experience, education, and relevant licensure or certification.
Alongside a competitive base salary, the firm provides a comprehensive employee benefits package and eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
