Position Overview:
The Food Service Operations Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that our residents, guests, and visitors receive high-quality, nutritious, and timely food and beverage services. This role encompasses overseeing meal services, special events, and collaborating on marketing initiatives while ensuring the department operates efficiently and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recognizes the significance of meal times, which account for a substantial portion of residents' awake hours, and understands the impact of dining services on their overall well-being.
- Assists in the recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes for department staff, while also managing documentation related to these actions.
- Helps develop and implement effective staffing schedules in alignment with company guidelines.
- Creates and conducts training programs for the Food Service Department, ensuring staff are well-prepared and knowledgeable.
- Provides leadership and oversight to dietary staff, including wait staff, dietary assistants, and kitchen personnel, including performance evaluations and recommendations for pay adjustments.
- Maintains compliance with health and safety regulations through regular temperature logs and sanitation inspections.
- Promotes infection control measures throughout the community.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 1-3 years of supervisory experience in food service within a healthcare, hospitality, or senior living environment.
- A passion for enhancing the lives of seniors and contributing positively to their daily experiences.
- Experience in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- A commitment to providing outstanding customer service and care to residents.
