About the Role

Vista College Prep is seeking a dedicated and passionate Middle School Teacher to join our team. As a Middle School Teacher, you will play a vital role in cultivating a love for learning, positive school culture, and a focused learning environment for students of all backgrounds and ability levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster Positive Student Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect.
  • Implement Rigorous Lesson Plans: Design and deliver standards-aligned lessons that cater to diverse learning needs and promote academic excellence.
  • Teach and Facilitate School-Wide Systems: Collaborate with colleagues to implement school-wide systems and procedures that align with our educational model and promote a positive school culture.
  • Engage in Collaborative Curriculum Planning: Participate in curriculum planning, professional development, and school events that foster a sense of community and promote academic growth.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with students, families, and colleagues in a clear, respectful, and empathetic manner, prioritizing relationships as a core aspect of our work.
  • Review Student Data: Analyze student data to identify areas of strength and weakness, and develop targeted strategies to address learning needs and promote content mastery.
  • Refine Instructional Practices: Continuously evaluate and refine instructional practices, guided by Vista's teacher performance rubric, to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Participate in Staff Training: Engage in annual staff training to connect with colleagues, build a sense of community, and prepare for the upcoming school year.
