Job Summary:

Maintain and repair production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Collaborate with maintenance personnel to achieve departmental goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize tools, schematics, and machining equipment to restore production machines to working order.
  2. Implement a preventative maintenance plan to minimize unscheduled downtime.
  3. Supervise, train, and assist other employees in the department.
  4. Manage equipment parts and shop supplies, recommending orders as needed.
  5. Research and implement improvements to machinery and plant processes.
  6. Solve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or other production equipment repair needs.
  7. Schedule repairs with department managers and support contractors as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities:

Perform other projects and tasks as assigned by management to support the company's goals and objectives.

Physical Demands:

This role requires regular standing, walking, talking, hearing, and sitting. Occasional use of force to push, pull, or lift up to 75 pounds is also required. Close vision at 20 inches or less, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus are necessary. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.

Requirements:

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Working knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
  3. Working knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and programmable devices.
  • Organization and planning skills.
  • Good verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Follow-up skills.
  • Math aptitude.
  • Self-starter and team player.
  • Work is performed in a manufacturing plant setting.
  • Must be flexible and available to work additional hours when necessary.
