- Formulate and execute quality assurance policies and protocols to guarantee that all products achieve the highest levels of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Lead and mentor the QA team, offering guidance and training to foster team development and effectiveness.
- Perform regular audits and evaluations of manufacturing processes to pinpoint areas for enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP), Safe Quality Food (SQF), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Supervise sanitation practices to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards throughout the manufacturing environment.
- Employ High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) for sample testing and analysis.
- Collaborate with department heads to define quality expectations from external suppliers.
- Prepare and deliver quality reports and metrics to upper management.
- Manage risk assessments and corrective action processes to resolve quality concerns.
- Stay informed about the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in quality assurance and management.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior quality assurance capacity within the manufacturing sector, ideally in food production.
- Extensive experience with aseptic methodologies is essential.
- Proven expertise in HACCP, SQF, GMPs, sanitation, and HPLC.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
- Excellent leadership and team management capabilities.
- Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
- Proficient in utilizing QA software tools and applications.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
- Certification as a Quality Engineer (CQE), Quality Auditor (CQA), or similar credential is advantageous.
