Respiratory Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing respiratory therapy services to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will work under the supervision of a physician to provide therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders. This includes performing diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.

• Provide respiratory therapy services to patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including therapeutic and rehabilitative procedures.
• Perform diagnostic tests to assess patient respiratory function and develop treatment plans.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Instruct patients and their families on respiratory care procedures and provide education on disease management.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.

• Graduation from an AMA/CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Registration (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• BCLS certification required. ACLS certification preferred.
• Licensure to practice as a Respiratory Therapist in the State of Michigan.
