Job Summary

We are seeking qualified part-time faculty members to join our team at Allan Hancock College. As an English instructor, you will be responsible for teaching courses in English, literature, and composition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach English courses in a variety of formats, including day, evening, and weekend classes.
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular feedback to students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement programs that support student success.
Requirements
  • Masters in English, literature, comparative literature, or composition, or a related field.
  • OR Bachelor's degree in any of the above fields, plus a Master's degree in linguistics, TESL, speech, education with a specialization in reading, creative writing, or journalism.

  • A competitive hourly rate of $65.74 to $86.44, depending on education and experience.
