Position Summary:

The role involves planning and coordinating team activities, providing training and motivation, and monitoring the performance of team members. The supervisor ensures that all personnel are capable of safely operating material handling equipment for efficient material movement and storage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and mentor Team Leaders to effectively manage daily operations of their assigned team members.
  • Maintain a structured equipment setup to ensure safe and efficient task completion.
  • Provide the necessary equipment for the safe transport and storage of materials.
  • Ensure production levels align with customer orders and that all shipping requirements are met.
  • Timely maintenance of bank sheets and appropriate actions based on data.
  • Monitor and assess team member performance regarding accuracy in sequencing and delivery.
  • Promote continuous improvement, ensuring compliance with established build and quality standards.
  • Oversee the operation of the Automatic Selection Retrieval System (ASRS).
  • Identify and mitigate safety hazards to reduce workplace accidents.
  • Adhere to company policies regarding health, safety, and environmental practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Supervisory Duties:

· Directly supervise a team of 5 or more employees within the department.

· Indirectly oversee additional team members as needed.

  • Conduct supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.

· Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training staff; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving issues.

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent (GED), or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience.

· Experience in supervisory roles within the automotive or logistics sectors.

· Proven ability to motivate and lead subordinates effectively.

· Commitment to maintaining high standards of excellence.

· Basic understanding of the duties and tasks performed by subordinates.

· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

· Ability to manage priorities and workflow efficiently.

· Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities with a positive attitude.

· Proficient in MS Office, WMS, and ADP systems.

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization.

· Good judgment and the ability to make timely, sound decisions.

· Creative, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.

· Understanding of safety requirements and precautions.

· Capability to perform necessary physical labor.
