Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse - Telemetry position is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients in the telemetry unit. This includes administering medications, performing various treatments and procedures, and documenting patient information. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in telemetry and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the nursing process to provide individualized quality patient care, meeting the physical and psychosocial needs of the patient.
  • Administer medications and perform treatments as ordered by physicians to enhance patient comfort and recovery.
  • Document observations, interventions, and results on the patient's medical record to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide education and support to patients and their families.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing and currently licensed LPN or LVN, or eligible for licensure in the State of Arizona.
  • Previous experience in telemetry or completion of a basic EKG course.
  • BCLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • ACLS certification or completion within 90 days.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a course in Pharmacology/IV therapy, with IV course certification in Arizona.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
Salary Range:

$32.00 per hour
