Ambulatory Services Housekeeper Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ambulatory Services Housekeeper to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our healthcare services team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of ambulatory healthcare facilities, including restrooms, patient areas, exam rooms, and procedure rooms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Disinfect surfaces with provided chemicals to maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
  • Dust and polish furniture and fittings, vents, window sills, and ledges to ensure a clean and well-maintained facility.
  • Clean reception glass and entrance windows to provide a welcoming atmosphere for patients and visitors.
  • Move chairs, stools, waste, linen, and biohazardous bins, small equipment, and other items for proper cleaning and storage.
  • Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming, and perform carpet spot cleaning and upholstery spot cleaning.
  • Collect and dispose of general trash and biohazardous waste, and perform routine cleaning on general trash and biohazardous waste containers.
  • Replenish soap, sanitizer, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, and other essential items.
  • Maintain equipment, tools, and storage areas in clean and orderly operating condition.
  • Work with alarm systems to arm and disarm, and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds to perform cleaning tasks and maintain a safe working environment.
