FirstHealth of the Carolinas, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counselor to join our team. As an EAP Counselor, you will provide assessment, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and linkage/referral services to employees and their family members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assessment, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, and linkage/referral services to employees and their family members.
  • Provide substance abuse assessment, intervention, and referrals, as well as management consultations and lunch-n-learn presentations on topics such as stress management, conflict resolution, team building, sexual harassment, and diversity.
  • Provide Tele-EAP services via the TEAMS confidential platform.
  • Travel to other FirstHealth EAP locations in Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Richmond, and Scotland Counties.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in a clinical human services discipline, such as counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, clinical addictions specialist, or psychology.
  • Certification as an EAP professional is preferred.
  • Clinical licensure as required by state.
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in employee assistance, mental health, behavioral health, marriage and family therapy, substance abuse treatment, or private psychotherapy practice.
  • NC driver's license with a good driving record.
