Position Overview

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will spearhead the accounting division. As the head of the finance team, the CFO is tasked with fostering a robust team dynamic and overseeing the department's deliverables.

The CFO will guarantee the punctual preparation of all financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards. This role involves providing strategic recommendations to the executive team aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and supporting ongoing growth. Collaboration with our CPA firm will be essential to furnish all necessary information for tax preparation and year-end audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver comprehensive financial updates to senior management by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting relevant data.
  • Guide financial decisions by applying company policies to the current economic landscape.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor financial policies and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Achieve budgeting objectives through effective scheduling, analysis, and corrective measures.
  • Support the development of short- and long-term operational strategies.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, implementing controls to minimize risk.
  • Produce annual budgets and forecasts, reporting significant variances to management.
  • Present recommendations on financial objectives and policies to management.
  • Assist other departments in developing strategies and making financially impactful decisions.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 8+ years of direct P&L responsibilities.
  • 6+ years in a management role overseeing direct reports.
  • Certified Public Accountant with public accounting experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting principles.
  • Extensive experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central).
  • Proficient in Month End Close processes.
  • Experience in small to mid-sized companies is a plus.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
