Position Overview
We are in search of a Marketing Analyst to play a pivotal role within our Global Chemical Commercial team in North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor marketing and sales dynamics, including shifts in market conditions, competitor activities, and import/export statistics on rival products, providing insightful analysis to Marketing leadership.
- Utilize diverse data collection techniques, such as interviews, surveys, and literature reviews, to gather relevant information.
- Compile new product sales metrics from the innovation pipeline, aligning data with KPIs, and communicate findings to Marketing and Sales leadership.
- Transform intricate data and results into clear tables, graphs, and written reports for presentation to Marketing leaders.
- Develop and sustain monthly segment sales reports for segment managers.
- Extract intercompany sales and profitability metrics related to defined segments and regions, maintaining updated databases for thorough analysis.
- Establish and uphold segment-pricing databases for pricing evaluation and strategy formulation, providing analytical insights to assist Marketing and Sales teams.
- Collect macroeconomic data and deliver trend analysis to Marketing leaders.
- Oversee bi-weekly competitive pricing data collection and relay updates to the sales team regarding any changes.
- Identify trends and patterns to inform decision-making and devise initiatives to achieve marketing objectives.
- Employ statistical methods to analyze data and interpret trends and patterns.
Required Skills
- 0-3 years of experience in marketing, complemented by a Bachelor's degree or entry-level MBA.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and extract relevant insights.
- Ability to work autonomously and conduct online research effectively.
- Understanding of statistical methodologies.
Education, Certifications & Licenses
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, statistics, business, or a related field.
- MBA is preferred.
