About the Role

Silfab Solar is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our team in the manufacturing of high-quality solar panels. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on production and facility equipment, utilizing a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record work completed.
  • Make recommendations for maintenance tasks to improve efficiency, equipment availability, and performance.
  • Repair and replace electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic components, including motors, contractors, relays, timers, switches, PLCs, light curtains, motor controls, and valves.
  • Diagnose faults on electrical equipment or systems, including complex interlocking, interrelated circuits, integrated systems, and complex sequencing.
  • Examine, install, replace, and repair electronic wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components.
  • Support and perform installation, setup, modification, and relocation of equipment to accommodate or improve production requirements.
  • Test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
  • Run new power supply lines to new/relocated equipment according to IEE wiring regulations, Electrical Safety Code, and company policy.
  • Wire new control panels according to supplied drawings and verbal instructions while adhering to Hydro Codes and other applicable standards and regulations.
  • Make trade calculations for load requirements and select appropriate sizes/grades of components in accordance with current electrical code.
  • Support the maintenance of spare parts inventory levels.
  • Maintain an organized workplace that complies with housekeeping requirements.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, overnights, weekends, holidays, and overtime, as needed.
  • Must be able to lift loads upwards of 50lbs.
Requirements
  • 5 or more years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
