Physician (Family Practice Specialist)

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation for a Physician (Family Practice) position at Military Treatment Facilities under DHA. The selected candidate will provide first contact, continuous, comprehensive primary care for infants, children, youth, and adults.
Key Responsibilities- Formulate full treatment plans based on evaluation and diagnoses consistent with current and/or evidence-based clinical practice guidelines.
- Perform emergency services or crisis intervention, including life-saving emergency procedures when necessary.
- Promote preventative and health maintenance care, stresses positive health behaviors and self-care through education and counseling.
- Participate in Quality Assurance functions, performance improvement programs, risk management programs, and peer review programs.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Selectees will be required to sign a statement (Condition of Employment) consenting to seasonal influenza vaccinations or must provide a recognized exemption.
- This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to pre-employment screening and random drug testing.
- Basic Requirement for Physician (Family Practice):
- Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
- Licensure: Current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
- Graduate Training: Subsequent to obtaining a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree, a candidate must have had at least one year of supervised experience providing direct service in a clinical setting.
Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
