Key Responsibilities:
- Examine working drawings, including architectural, structural, mechanical, civil, electrical, and landscaping plans, focusing on details, feasibility, conflicts, and dimensions.
- Assess the Building Specification to verify material, subcontractor, and equipment criteria while identifying potential conflicts within project documents.
- Oversee jobsite management, including trailer setup, signage, material staging, vehicle access, and temporary utility access. Establish an organized system for maintaining project plans, communication, correspondence, and subcontracts.
- Implement and coordinate safety measures and applicable company programs to comply with OSHA standards, ensuring a secure work environment.
- Foster a positive relationship with clients, concentrating on identifying the critical path necessary to achieve the owner's desired timeline.
- Conduct regular project inspections, paying close attention to the owner's concerns.
- Monitor labor productivity on the project and keep the company informed of any deviations from the original budget.
- Review construction documents to determine required material quantities, monitoring actual material needs and reporting any budget deviations.
- Thoroughly review, coordinate, and execute the quality assurance program established for the project.
- Analyze project shop drawings and construction documents to ensure coordination among various disciplines regarding the actual project layout and site conditions.
- Oversee the project punchlist and ensure the completion of all necessary project disciplines to obtain a certificate of occupancy.
- 8+ years of experience in construction, particularly in multi-family projects, with expertise in rough and finish carpentry, as well as concrete work preferred.
- A college degree is advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all construction aspects (technology, equipment, methods, etc.).
- Familiarity with the local market is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills with a successful track record of timely project delivery.
- Ability to identify, analyze, and quantify project challenges along with potential solutions and implications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and build solid client relationships.
- Proficiency in construction management software such as Procore, Timberline, Bluebeam, CMiC, PlanGrid, Textura, and Field ID.
- Competence in using the internet and Microsoft Office 365.
