Physician / Family Practice with OB Opportunity in Southern Louisiana

Job Summary:
Physician Empire is seeking a Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) Family Medicine physician with full, unrestricted medical staff privileges in Family Medicine to join our team in Southern Louisiana.
About the Opportunity:
This is a community health system sponsored program fully accredited by ACGME for 20 years. The program offers 24 approved positions and 21 current residents. As a Family Medicine physician with obstetrics experience, you will have the opportunity to work in an unopposed program with a single site learning environment, surrounded by a strong faculty with diverse backgrounds and skill sets.
Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibilities center on the education of 21 Family Medicine residents and visiting medical students, precepting residents, didactic presentations, and 1:7 week inpatient team lead.
- Inpatient and outpatient experience with a diverse patient population.
- Traditional outpatient practice and inpatient care with full complement of consultants.
Requirements:
- Board certified/board eligible (or equivalent) Family Medicine physician with full, unrestricted medical staff privileges in Family Medicine.
- Previous academic experience with obstetric skills, experience teaching medical students and residents, though not required.
