Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at Gateway Industrial Power, Inc. as a Truck Technician. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing complex repairs and maintenance on our fleet of heavy-duty vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of our vehicles to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and Repair Complex Issues: Use your expertise to diagnose and repair complex problems with our vehicles, including engine, transmission, and electrical systems.
  • Perform Road Tests: Test our vehicles on the road to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect and Test Equipment: Use specialized testing equipment to inspect and test our vehicles' systems and components.
  • Document Repairs: Accurately document all repairs and maintenance performed on our vehicles.
  • Maintain a Clean and Safe Work Environment: Ensure our work area is clean, organized, and safe for all employees.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Valid Driver's License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is preferred.
  • Experience as a Truck Technician: 2+ years of experience as a truck technician or in a related field is preferred.
  • Cummins Certification: Cummins certification is preferred but not required.
