Senior Quality Manager Job Description

The Senior Quality Manager is a critical role responsible for overseeing the quality assurance processes and protocols of the organization. This senior-level position involves developing and implementing quality management strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the organization's efforts in obtaining and maintaining relevant certifications (e.g., ISO).
  • Identify areas for improvement within existing processes and develop strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and increase quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and present audit reports to senior management, outlining findings and recommendations.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the quality assurance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate with customer service and production teams to address customer complaints and feedback.
  • Implement corrective actions to resolve quality issues and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Analyze quality data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present detailed quality reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
  • 2+ years' experience as a Quality Analyst for the MDE Program with exceptional quality scores (95% or higher).
