We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team at Nationwide Children's Hospital. As a key member of our primary care clinics, you will play a vital role in promoting mental health and well-being among youth and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psychoeducation about mental health treatment to youth and families.
- Support licensed clinical providers in the assessment and mental health screening of children and youth.
- Assist specialist providers with using measure-based care strategies for coordinating care at the direction of the licensed clinician.
- Complete required charting and clinical documentation in accordance with program standards.
- Systematically track and monitor patient caseloads.
- Collaborate to implement a treatment plan under the supervision of a licensed clinician.
- Complete physical outreach in the community as clinically indicated.
- Provide short-term support to assist with stressors, level of risk, and intervention progress during care with specialist providers.
- Maintain required training and familiarity with the research and literature in areas of expertise.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent; or 3 years of relevant experience, required.
- Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy.
- QBHS certification to be obtained post-hire.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise an appropriate degree of autonomy, initiative, judgment, and decision-making to achieve program objectives.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a team.
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills required to establish and maintain productive and collaborative team and multi-disciplinary relationships.
- Demonstrates sensitivity, empathy, objectivity, customer service skills, and sound judgement in the course of all work duties.
