Job Summary

Arizona Building Supply is seeking a skilled CDL Driver II to join our team. As a CDL Driver II, you will be responsible for delivering materials to job sites, primarily wall panels and trusses, while ensuring safe and efficient transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a truck with a capacity of over three tons, navigating various routes and terrain.
  • Inspect and maintain the truck, reporting any issues or shortages to the supervisor.
  • Assist in loading and storing materials, ensuring accurate orders and timely delivery.
  • Participate in a positive work environment, maintaining a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License as required.
  • Prepare and maintain DOT required logs, organizing and securing loads for safe transportation.
  • Provide excellent customer service, delivering and unloading materials to customer satisfaction.
  • Complete daily equipment pre-inspections, recording all merchandise returned by truck.
  • Follow guidelines established by the Department of Transportation, adhering to company policies and guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School or general equivalency degree (GED) required.
  • 4-6 years industry experience/freight handling required.
  • 1-3 years CDL experience for interstate commerce required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms.
  • Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors.
  • Ability to deal constructively with conflict and recognize potential problems.
  • Maintain current operator's license and meet company driver qualification requirements.
Working Conditions

Extreme cold, extreme heat, humidity, wet conditions, and temperature changes are frequent. Atmospheric conditions are also frequent.
