This role, under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist, assists in the procurement, storage, preparation, distribution, and delivery of medications and other pharmaceutical products to patients in a timely and accurate fashion and in accordance with established regulations and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Accurately restock automated dispensing cabinets according to inventory levels
- Assist with inventory management by stocking fluids and medications on shelves
- Inspect assigned out of date sections and/or nursing units or operating rooms on a monthly basis
- Answer phone calls and handle questions that do not require pharmacist expertise or judgment and route calls to the appropriate party as necessary
- Maintain compliance and understanding of Compounding Sterile Products Policy and USP
- Prepare IVs, PCAs, Epidurals in accordance with CSP Policy and USP
- Assist with training and orientation of new teammates to department workflow and procedures
