Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Event Services Technician to join our team at the City of Statesville. This is a non-exempt position that requires a strong ability to perform difficult semi-skilled and intermediate skilled work in a variety of construction, repair, and maintenance assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform room set-ups, including tables, chairs, and stages.
  • Maintain and repair facility and grounds, including performing a variety of skilled tasks.
  • Assist with event planning, including room diagram/layout.
  • Communicate effectively with the public and support the operation of heating and cooling systems.
  • Track inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Support lessees with sound systems and computer equipment.
Requirements
  • Graduation from high school and considerable experience in building maintenance.
  • Ability to manual labor for extended periods and understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Valid N.C. driver's license may be required.
Working Conditions

This position involves heavy work and requires the employee to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and less force frequently to move objects. The employee will be exposed to indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including extreme heat and cold, and noise.
