Role Summary: As a culinary service associate, you will engage in a variety of tasks within the department, including cash handling, food preparation, serving, and dishwashing. You will typically focus on one primary role but may assist in others as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Cash Handling:
  • Accurately manage the collection of payments for food items and meal plans.
  • Verify cash drawer amounts at the start of your shift.
  • Communicate with management regarding daily menu specials and pricing changes.
  • Process customer transactions and provide correct change.
  • Record payments for prepaid meal programs as per established procedures.
Dishwashing:
  • Ensure a clean and sanitary environment for food preparation and service.
  • Monitor dishwashing equipment and maintain cleanliness of kitchen items.
  • Set up and maintain washing stations for pots and pans.
  • Dispose of waste properly and keep the dish area organized.
Food Preparation:
  • Assist in the preparation of cold food items and ingredients for daily menus.
  • Follow production sheets to understand daily responsibilities.
  • Prepare vegetables, fruits, meats, and cheeses as required.
  • Maintain food safety standards by ensuring proper temperatures.
Serving:
  • Facilitate the efficient distribution of prepared meals while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Set up and maintain the food service line.
  • Monitor food quality and temperature during service.
