Job Description

Be Strong International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our after-school program. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the program runs smoothly, efficiently, and effectively, while maintaining a safe and supportive environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and manage program staff to ensure high-quality services are delivered to students.
  • Develop and implement program plans, policies, and procedures to meet the needs of our students and stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate program performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and community partners.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Manage program budgets, resources, and logistics to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Develop and implement strategies to promote student engagement, retention, and academic success.
  • Collaborate with program staff to develop and implement training programs to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of program data and statistics.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Lead or Program Manager.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., education, social work, youth development).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in after-school program management or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish or Creole) is a plus.
Competencies:

The Site Supervisor will effectively lead staff and manage program operations. This individual needs to have strong communication skills for interacting with students, parents, staff, and school personnel and building positive relationships. Attention to detail is crucial for accurate record-keeping and compliance with guidelines. Problem-solving skills are required for handling emergencies and daily challenges. Effective time management and adaptability are needed for various duties and changing program needs.

Physical Demands:

This position is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear. The position requires extensive computer use so the employee must have sufficient hand dexterity to use a computer keyboard and be capable of reading a computer screen. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable otherwise qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
