Job Overview

The Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant II to join our Community Relations team. As an integral part of our support staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of administrative functions and providing exceptional support to our Community Relations/Volunteer Services team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and supervise administrative tasks to facilitate timely and accurate activities and deadlines.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to inquiries, and addressing concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain harmonious working relationships with DSSLC staff, individuals, donors, and Volunteer Services Council Board Members.
  • Process donations, maintain records, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Coordinate volunteer efforts, including facilitating monthly workdays, tracking supplies, and preparing resident gift lists.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a healthcare or social services setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise judgment, and maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and eTapestry.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
