Position Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain case files throughout all prelitigation stages.
  • Engage with clients regularly via phone and in-person meetings.
  • Ensure timely communication and follow-up with clients, attorneys, and healthcare providers.
  • Accurately document and confirm all case activities.
  • Gather medical records, finalize reports, track liens, and verify outstanding balances.
  • Compile demand packages for attorney evaluation.
  • Draft settlement statements for attorney review.
  • Conduct file status assessments.
  • Complete tasks related to file opening and closing.
  • Prepare and dispatch correspondence as necessary.
  • Efficiently process daily case scans and mail.
  • Provide phone coverage support when required.
  • Assist with investigative tasks as directed by the supervising attorney.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing all phases of personal injury cases.
  • Fluency in Spanish is essential.
  • A minimum of three years of consecutive experience as a personal injury paralegal is required.
  • Familiarity with medical record analysis and documentation.
  • An Associate's degree in legal studies or paralegal certification is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for client interactions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A genuine commitment to client service.
  • Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach.
  • A collaborative team player who can also work independently.
  • Proficient in various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Adobe; experience with legal software is advantageous.
