Key Responsibilities:

The Lead Systems Engineer will play a pivotal role in supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The responsibilities include:

  • Conducting systems engineering and project management tasks, such as requirements analysis, documentation, design phases, testing, and operational support throughout the MDSEA program lifecycle.
  • Defining and executing detailed studies, requirements specifications, and system architecture designs for Enterprise Services and satellite ground systems.
  • Ensuring alignment with Team Leads on infrastructure, cybersecurity, logistics, and cost estimates for space capability development.
  • Performing impact assessments for customer requests and coordinating across the MDSEA environment.
  • Delivering and validating MDSEA products and services to clients.
  • Leading the MDSEA Systems Engineering team and providing functional guidance.

Qualifications:

This position is open to candidates with varying levels of experience. Applicants must possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • High School Diploma (or GED) with 16 years of general experience
  • Associate's degree with 14 years of general experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 12 years of general experience
  • Master's degree with 10 years of general experience

Additionally, candidates must have:

  • 9 years of relevant experience in IT systems support or management within a systems engineering role.
  • 3 years of experience leading systems engineers in a DoD or commercial setting.
  • Expertise in systems engineering methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows systems administration, database management, and project management.
  • A current DoD Secret security clearance with the potential to obtain a Top Secret with SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF) products.
  • Extensive knowledge of ballistic missile defense and space systems.

Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is $146,300 - $171,300 annually, based on experience and qualifications.
