Job Overview

The Commercial Kitchen Equipment Repair Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of foodservice equipment. As a part of Tech-24, a leader in commercial kitchen maintenance, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing various kitchen appliances and refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough problem diagnosis, utilizing both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Perform repairs on commercial kitchen and refrigeration systems, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
  • Inspect equipment and its components to guarantee safe and effective operation.
  • Maintain clear communication with customers and branch personnel regarding repair status and timelines.
  • Complete service documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Manage truck inventory to ensure necessary parts are readily available.
  • Uphold the condition of service vehicles, tools, and uniforms to meet company standards.
  • Mentor and guide less experienced technicians, promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
  • Adhere to all company policies, particularly those related to safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the field.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
  • Possession of standard hand tools required for the job.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the designated region.
  • Availability for on-call duties, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn new skills.
  • Universal EPA certification is preferred.
  • Experience in plumbing and electrical work is highly valued.
  • Welding skills are a plus.
