Position Summary

Blue Cliff College is in search of a qualified Instructor for the Massage Therapy Program. The role involves delivering a comprehensive educational experience in massage and bodywork techniques, utilizing various teaching methodologies, including lectures, demonstrations, and the integration of audiovisual aids to enhance learning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach students about the safe use, maintenance, and operation of tools and equipment relevant to the Massage Therapy field.
  • Emphasize the significance of precision, organization, efficiency, and professionalism in the pursuit of a career as a Massage Therapist.
  • Assign coursework and evaluate student performance through homework assessments and examinations to gauge both theoretical knowledge and practical skills.
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress, providing regular updates to the Lead Instructor and Registrar.
  • Deliver course content using diverse instructional strategies, ensuring effective use of class time for both teaching and necessary clean-up.
  • Uphold classroom standards and regulations, fostering a disciplined learning environment through effective management techniques.
  • Prepare and submit a detailed course syllabus for each class to the appropriate Program Chair.
  • Conduct evaluations of the class and participate in institutional assessments as per college policies.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Possession of a valid Massage Therapy license issued by the relevant state authority.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional experience in the field.
  • Prior teaching or training experience is advantageous.
