Job Title: Psychiatric Care Specialist

Job Summary:
Health Advocates Network is seeking a skilled Psychiatric Care Specialist to work at a facility in California. As a Psychiatric Care Specialist, you will be responsible for evaluating, treating, and documenting the treatment of assigned psychiatric patients. You will provide diagnosis after assessment, prescribe medications, and monitor patients' progress. You will also dictate admission summaries, discharge summaries, and other necessary documentation. Additionally, you will confer with patients' relatives, healthcare proxies, and community psychiatrists to enhance patient care and facilitate patient discharge.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat assigned psychiatric patients
  • Provide diagnosis after assessment and prescribe medications
  • Monitor patients' progress and document treatment
  • Dictate admission and discharge summaries
  • Confer with patients' relatives and healthcare proxies
  • Communicate with community psychiatrists

Requirements:
  • Minimum 1-year previous working experience as a Psychiatrist
  • Ability to build rapport with patients
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • A valid and current CPR card
