We are seeking an experienced Division Commander to lead our law enforcement team in Clear Creek County, Colorado. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for supervising and assuring the successful operations of a Division.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Division Commander, where you will be responsible for:
- Servicing the community and citizens by providing services and being aware of their needs.
- Coordinating Office activities to provide community services in areas such as Patrol services, crime prevention, preservation of the peace, protection of persons and property, emergency communications, and enforcement of laws and ordinances.
- Relating to diverse groups and individuals professionally and building ongoing trust with others.
As a Division Commander, your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a role model for County values and understanding the role of Clear Creek County in providing service to its citizens and visitors.
- Providing services to the community and citizens and being aware of their needs.
- Coordinating Office activities to provide community services in various areas.
- Relating to diverse groups and individuals professionally and building ongoing trust with others.
- Utilizing a clear and concise writing style and correctly filling out forms and reports.
- Analyzing operational data and reports to ascertain Office success in attaining customer service and community policing goals.
- Communicating effectively to individuals and groups from a wide variety of educational and cultural backgrounds.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate degree in Management, Public Administration, Administration of Justice, or a related field.
- Five years of progressively responsible law enforcement experience at the rank of Sergeant or its equivalent.
- A valid Colorado driver's license.
- P.O.S.T. certification is required for select divisions.
The estimated salary for this role is between $109,562 and $139,638 per year. We offer a range of benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
