Position Overview

The Senior Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing the financial deliverables for clients, including quarterly financial reports, monthly cash flow management, and daily disbursement activities. This role also encompasses mentoring junior staff and engaging directly with clients to facilitate billing processes and account setups.



Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main point of contact and relationship manager for clients and external service providers.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of monthly and quarterly financial statements to clients and service teams.
  • Prepare detailed Excel analyses of client financial data, including investment history and broker assessments.
  • Utilize accounting software to generate cash reports for monthly client deliverables and internal reviews.
  • Identify potential cross-selling opportunities and alert management to client asset protection concerns.
  • Efficiently download financial data from various online accounts into the General Ledger System.
  • Review and verify client disbursements for accuracy in payments and coding.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of accounts and bank statements, ensuring record accuracy.
  • Step in to perform staff accountant duties when necessary.
  • Engage in special projects as required.
  • Collaborate with the tax department to provide necessary information.

Accountabilities

  • Maintain precise financial records for both personal and business activities of clients, ensuring timely processing of bills.
  • Manage client cash accounts, ensuring availability of funds for anticipated and extraordinary expenses.
  • Uphold confidentiality regarding client records and manage sensitive access codes discreetly.
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to junior staff, serving as a resource for accounting practices and communication.
  • Ensure accurate processing of personal bills for high-net-worth clients, including routine and special expenditures.
  • Timely processing of deposits to maintain financial flow.


Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 4-6 years of accounting experience, ideally in individual accounting or small business financial reporting.

Skills Required

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and customer service skills; detail-oriented and a team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
