We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our Emergency Medicine team at Hartford HealthCare (HHC). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals in need of emergency medical attention.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the medical management of patients, working to achieve and maintain optimal health status, manage disease, and reduce the risk of illness.
- Engage in independent decision-making regarding the healthcare of individuals, families, and groups across the lifespan and across the healthcare continuum.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including ordering diagnostic tests and medications as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and disease prevention.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Master's program.
- Licensed, or eligible to be licensed, as a Physician Assistant/Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Connecticut.
- Certification or eligible to be certified as a Physician Assistant or National Board Certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse through AACN or ANCC.
- Exceptional physical assessment skills required.
- At least 1 year of experience in Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care.
