Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Healthcare Unit Supervisor to join our team at Uptown Health Care Center. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our healthcare unit, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Nursing Staff: Assign nurses to patients, ensure nursing operational standards are met, and provide reports on productivity, quality, and customer service metrics.
  • Lead by Example: Establish a compassionate environment by providing psychological support to patients, family, and friends, and handle complaints or other issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Train and Develop: Train new team members, evaluate nurses' performance, and provide feedback and coaching to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage Admissions: Handle admissions, keep records of nurses' files, patients' cases, and procedures, and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and timely.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, BSN or diploma in nursing; training in healthcare administration is a plus.
  • Experience: One to three years (1-3) years of supervisory experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nursing management role.
  • Licensure: Valid RN State license.
