Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Banking Program Associate to join our Mergers and Acquisitions team in San Francisco. As a key member of our team, you will support transaction execution across various verticals in the technology space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in analyzing companies, develop strategies for clients, and pull market and industry research across the M&A product suite.
  • Review strategies for clients, build detailed and complex financial models, analyze market data, and prepare client presentations.
  • Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing an understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for Investment Banking.
  • Manage various product workstreams and coordination with coverage banking partners.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Interact with internal and external customers.
  • Develop and train Investment Banking Analysts in M&A valuation and processes.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of Investment Banking Program experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Undergraduate degree from a four-year accredited college or university and/or experience in mergers & acquisitions analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience in investment banking mergers & acquisitions, private equity, or other financial services sector with a focus on technology companies.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong financial modeling skills.
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment and manage junior bankers.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, and collaborative team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results.
  • Experience training and mentoring junior talent.
Job Expectations
  • Ability to work long hours in a demanding, highly focused, and collaborative team environment with a sense of personal accountability and urgency for achieving results.
  • FINRA SIE, Series 63, and Series 79 exams must all be successfully completed within 90 days of employment if not available for transfer. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
