Inventory Control Specialist

The Inventory Control Specialist for Home Market Foods will oversee inventory flow throughout the organization, ensuring accuracy of inventory levels and product quality.

To be successful in this role, the incumbent must have the ability to interact and communicate effectively with management, floor personnel, and other internal departments.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Completes physical inventories of warehouse products.
  • Documents and reports damaged products.
  • Documents and reports short, dated product.
  • Researches inventory discrepancies.
  • Assists in troubleshooting functions related to shipping/receiving.
  • Able to work independently with little direction.
  • Able to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in shipping/receiving in manufacturing/warehouse environment required.
  • Licensed to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment preferred.
  • Familiar with warehouse documentation and processing requirements required.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of ERP systems, NAV experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write and take directions in English.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese preferred.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Inventory Management Systems preferred.

Work Environment:
  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds without difficulty.
  • The noise level in the office environment is typically moderate.
  • Company provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) must be worn while on the production floor.
