We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Seton. As a Sleep Lab Specialist, you will play a critical role in conducting diagnostic sleep studies and ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Job Description

The ideal candidate for this position will possess strong analytical skills and be able to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues alike. Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies
  • Preparing patients and equipment for testing, interviewing patients to determine sleep disorder issues and explaining testing procedures
  • Performing and documenting testing, monitoring patients throughout the process and intervening as necessary
  • Collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; scoring, interpreting, and reporting results of sleep studies

In addition to these duties, the successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining equipment, determining needed repairs or replacements, and reporting results to physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

  • BLS Provider certification obtained within one month of hire date or job transfer date required
  • One or more of the following certifications: Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Electroencephalographic Technician (EEG T), Respiratory Care Practitioner, Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered (RRT), RRT Sleep Disorder Specialist, or Sleep Technician
  • High School diploma equivalency with two years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or four years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required
Salary Information

The estimated salary range for this position is $45,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
