We are dedicated to being the leading provider of Short Term Rehabilitation, Sub-Acute, and Long Term Healthcare services in the Hudson Valley area. Our mission is to innovate and enhance the delivery of care while building strong community partnerships.
Core Duties:
The Registered Nurse will utilize the nursing process to provide comprehensive care to designated residents, administer medications and treatments, and maintain accurate documentation on the assigned nursing unit. Key responsibilities include:
- Reporting ongoing observations and assessments to the Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor.
- Demonstrating knowledge of basic lab values and delivering direct resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Identifying and responding promptly to patient concerns and needs.
- Exhibiting effective interpersonal skills to ensure high-quality patient care.
Resident Care Management:
Prepare resident assignments based on individual needs and staff competencies. Monitor and evaluate the flow of activities and ensure that documentation records are completed accurately for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs).
Professional Conduct:
Maintain punctuality and provide appropriate notifications for any lateness or absenteeism.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Licensed and registered in good standing as an RN in New York State.
- Experience with geriatric patients is preferred but not mandatory.
- A genuine desire to work with elderly, chronically ill, and disabled individuals.
- Possess a collaborative spirit and enthusiasm to foster an environment conducive to rehabilitation and growth.
- Knowledge of residents' medical, social, and psychological needs, along with general nursing theory and infection prevention methods.
- Strong verbal communication skills with residents, families, and staff.
