The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience and hold certifications such as ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT, and state-specific licensing when required.
Responsibilities- Prepare radiopharmaceutical agents and administer them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images
- Provide technical support to physicians or others who diagnose, care for, and treat patients and to researchers who investigate the uses of radioactive drugs
- Perform procedures including injecting radiopharmaceuticals under the direct supervision of a radiologist
- Assist patients during procedures and ensure the environment is safe at all times for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and understand and use the McKesson PACS system
