Job Overview:
In the role of Landscape Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all facets of the landscape construction yard and nursery facility. Your position will require you to effectively manage operations to support production personnel while fostering a professional and welcoming atmosphere for both staff and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily management of fueling and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Overseeing inventory management and storage of tools and materials.
- Loading delivery vehicles and ensuring security of the yard.
Reporting Structure:
You will report directly to the Owner and will be supervised by Project Managers and the Nursery Manager to prioritize daily tasks.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess a high school diploma or GED, a minimum of five years of experience as a mechanic working on vehicles and small engines, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is preferred along with strong communication skills and technical abilities.
Hands-on experience in vehicle and small engine maintenance.Valid driver's license and insurability.Physical capability for labor-intensive tasks.Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.Effective communication skills.
Additional Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include managing yard and tool spaces, overseeing maintenance of equipment and inventory, training staff on tool usage, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Continuing Education Requirement:
Mandatory minimum of 20 hours per year to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.
Performance Goals:
The objective for the Landscape Operations Supervisor is to efficiently manage yard spaces, equipment, and materials to support company production operations effectively.
