About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at a 886-bed academic medical center. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and medical equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Decontaminate and sterilize equipment, supplies, and instruments using established protocols and procedures.
  • Assemble and wrap instruments, supplies, and equipment using OneSource as a resource.
  • Operate and maintain equipment, including autoclaves and sterilizers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless delivery of patient care.
  • Perform quality control checks to ensure compliance with infection control and safety standards.
Requirements
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role in a hospital setting.
  • Knowledge of Epic Electronic Medical Record system.
  • CPR certification by the American Heart Association.
  • Ability to lift and move trays of instruments and patient care equipment up to 25 lbs.
