Role Overview
As the Director of Analytics within Product Management, you will spearhead data-driven decision-making throughout the product management lifecycle.
Utilizing your analytical expertise, you will deliver insights that shape product strategy, development, and optimization, ultimately improving customer experience and business performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Analytics Leadership:
- Formulate and implement the analytics strategy in alignment with the overarching product management vision and objectives.
- Guide a team of Product Managers to make informed decisions regarding product roadmaps, pricing strategies, and feature prioritization.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, including application product managers, engineers, TSO, PMO, and marketing, to ensure analytics initiatives align with organizational goals.
- Integrate self-service analytics and AI-driven analytics into the strategy.
Data Analysis and Insights:
- Employ advanced analytical techniques to derive significant insights from extensive datasets, including user behavior, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- Establish key metrics and KPIs to evaluate product performance and guide ongoing improvement initiatives.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to senior leadership in a clear and impactful manner.
Product Strategy and Development:
- Collaborate closely with product managers to define product objectives and develop analytics frameworks to track progress.
- Conduct market research and analysis to uncover new product opportunities and areas for innovation.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with engineering teams to ensure effective and accurate data collection processes.
- Coordinate with TSO and Solution Engineering to resolve issues and defects promptly, ensuring smooth implementation.
- Partner with marketing teams to craft data-driven marketing strategies and campaigns.
- Support sales teams with analytical insights to enhance product adoption and revenue growth.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Recruit, mentor, and cultivate a high-performing team of analysts, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, assisting them in overcoming challenges and achieving their professional aspirations.
- Encourage a collaborative and inclusive team environment that values diverse perspectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Extensive experience in analytics, particularly in product management, ideally within a technology or supply chain/procurement context.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, or similar.
- Solid understanding of AI, ML, and Generative AI.
- Proven experience in leading analytics teams and delivering impactful insights that shape product strategy and decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and achieve results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
