Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and manage a city-wide official gazette (print and digital) and lead the editorial team.
  • Develop and coordinate an editorial plan, plan content, and serve as the primary contact for the publisher, internal and external editors, and all matters related to the official gazette.
  • Allocate content and determine article placement using an editorial system.
  • Present current topics in the city and its districts in the official gazette through researching, editing, and writing articles.
  • Write press releases and texts for the city's website, as well as represent the office in social media.
Requirements:
  • Degree in cross-media/public relations, media or communication sciences, or a comparable field, or a degree in humanities, economics, or social sciences with a specialization in journalism.
  • Ideal experience in conceptualizing and planning publications, press and public relations, or an official gazette editorial team.
  • Advantageous is several years of professional experience as a journalist in a newspaper or magazine editorial team, online or broadcasting editorial team.
  • Knowledge in photography, video, and social media.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interest in local political and social topics, and a confident and friendly demeanor.
